The Madrichim Program is an excellent opportunity open to our 8th-12th grade students. Madrichim is a Hebrew word meaning guides, derived from derech, meaning route, path, or way of life. Our Madrichim take on a leadership role both in and out of the classroom, acting as role models for our students, and support to our teachers. In 8th grade, students are invited to participate in the Madrichim Training Class in preparation for their role as high school Madrichim, learning about effective communication habits, classroom environments and management techniques, and ultimately how to create unique and memorable educational moments. Upon entering the 9th grade, Madrichim take on various responsibilities assisting both students and teachers in the Religious School classrooms, shadowing students with special needs, lending a hand in the office, and helping out at Temple-wide programs and events. High school Madrichim can opt to earn community service hours, often a HS graduation requirement, or can receive a stipend for their time.
