Rabbi Paul Yedwab has served Temple Israel of West Bloomfield, Michigan since his ordination from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1986, where he did his thesis work in the field of "faith development."  Prior to his rabbinic education, Rabbi Yedwab received an A.B. in Politics from Princeton University. 

He has published six books --The Alef-Bet of Blessings,Learn Hebrew Today: Alef-Bet for Adults,To See God Through Jewish Eyes,Shema Yisrael Hear O'Israel: The Temple Israel Siddu,Sex in the Texts, and The God Book: A Necessarily Incomplete Look at the Essence of God -- and many articles and sermons in a variety of journals and newspapers.    

In his work as a rabbi, he has founded or co-founded several organizations and projects in the Detroit Metropolitan area, including Forgotten Harvest: a prepared food distribution agency.  

Rabbi Paul Yedwab’s father, Rabbi Stanley z”l served Temple Beth Am in Lakewood, New Jersey for 39 years and his mother Myra zl was a Jewish educator and immigration activist.  

He met his wife, Wendy, of Oklahoma City, at the Kutz Camp Institute in Warwick, N.Y.  

His daughter Ariella is a director of the Jewish non-profit One Table, and along with her husband Josh, the source of Rabbi Yedwab’s greatest joy—his granddaughter Adina. His son Jesse is a snowboard instructor and member of the National Snowboarding Team, as well as a horticulturist and, along with his wife Mariana, a land developer. His youngest daughter Zoe is an associate director for a marketing company in Chicago. They are all beautiful and brilliant!
