7:00 PM - 8:00 PMZoomJoin us for The Fight for the Right to Food: Hunger & Justice in the Civil Rights Movement.
Led by Naama Haviv, MAZON's Vice President of Community Engagement, this tour will offer a civil rights lens to MAZON's flagship Hunger Museum (hungermuseum.org). The social, cultural, and political activism of the 1960’s and 1970’s reframed access to food as fundamental to racial and gender equality and realized a robust response from the federal government that made ending hunger a very real possibility. This tour will take place over the course of an hour, with time for questions and discussion.
Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
