Join Rabbi Josh for an amazing beer-making class in preparation for Passover. Then drink the products we make when the holiday ends. Each participant will brew a small batch of beer during the course.
In this three-week course designed for our young adult members, come explore Passover texts connected to the unleavened bread that is such a powerful image in the story of the Exodus. Together, we will determine if the culture of beer (which originated in ancient Egypt) has Jewish roots. This class will offer students a hands-on experience as we produce beer and talk about the yeast missing from matzah. All this while diving into Jewish texts and sources.
Materials are $50 per person. Registration is required before January 24, 2024.
