Temple Israel invites adults of our community for an exclusive screening of Oscar-contending film, October H8te. Executive producer Debra Messing and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Wendy Sachs’ October H8te is a searing documentary about the explosion of antisemitism on college campuses, on social media, and on the streets of America after October 7th.

From Hollywood to the United Nations, high-profile public figures like Noa Tishby, Debra Messing, Sheryl Sandberg, Mosab Yousef, etc., examine the post-October 7th manipulation of narratives, the role of social media in amplifying antisemitic rhetoric, and the origins of these divisive messages. Ultimately, October H8te underscores a systemic crisis that transcends the Jewish community, and poses a threat to democracy and free society as a whole. Don’t miss this incredibly important feature and discussion open to the entire Metro-Detroit community free of charge.
