Yom Kippur Recipes

Yom Kippur

On Yom Kippur, it is customary for adults (post B'nai Mitzvah) to fast for 25 hours, starting from sundown, until nightfall th next evening. It is important to note, that health and safety always come first, though!
There are two imporant meals before and after the fast. The first meal is called
seudah ha-mafaseket (meaning “meal of separation” or “concluding meal”). A tip: try to avoid salty foods that could make you dehydrated when fasting!

The second meal, the break-fast, often features dairy foods like bagels & cream cheese, blintzes, kugels, etc.
