Kindergarten: Our best kept secret

Our Kindergarten Program offers each child a unique and individualized learning experience, meeting the needs of the whole child developmentally, emotionally, and academically. Our Kindergarten is a fully accredited 5 day program for children 5-6 years old. Our kindergarten day is Monday-Friday, 9 AM-3 PM (aftercare and early care options are available).
Much like our preschool program, Temple Israel's Kindergarten program is different from what you'll find anywhere else. Class sizes are limited to 16 kids, each with a certified teacher and full-time aide. We provide learning experiences and programming in an exciting environment that includes language arts, library/computer time, reading, writing, mathematics, Judaica, Hebrew, art, science, and social studies.

Kindergarten uses Readers and Writers Workshop, Math Expression, and Rigby Reader as a daily part of the curriculum.
- Along with our regular instruction, we include a Hebrew immersion program, which is great for kids who will be attending Hillel, or Hebrew school.

Our program evolves around learning as an interactive process. These programs involve educators and parents working together to nurture, stimulate, and guide their children.

Students have enrichment classes, like science, gym, music, and ceramics, which enhance their daily curriculum.
